We seek to support the continued existence of the Maasai people of East Africa. Ongoing drought, climate change, and the reduction of traditional grazing lands mean that customary ways of life are no longer fully viable on their own.

Our 3 Principles
We exist to help the Maasai of East Africa to continue to exist in harmony with the environment. We do this by upholding 3 principles.
1. Practical On-Ground Support Work
We are focused on direct, practical, on-ground support. Paledo was established by members of the Maasai community to support local communities and the wider Maasai people across East Africa.
2. Fundraising &
Effective Advocacy
To enable us to effectively support the Maasai, Paledo connects with people all over the world who are interested and able to help us support the Maasai’s way of life. We are committed to being effective advocates for the Maasai.
3. Providing Equal Access & Connecting People
Using the best of modern technology we aim to connect our family to yours, sharing news and updates and progress from East Africa.
Paledo works alongside Maasai communities to help sustain culture, connection, and livelihoods, supporting people to continue living in harmony with their ancestral lands, as they have done for thousands of years.
